My interests in styles tend towards Expressionism, and I am interested in Abstract providing I see some sense in the image. In my own work I try to placate all interests but I really do try to employ something a bit different. My original interests was in antiques and I eventually became a dealer and publisher producing a magazine entitled 'Antiques and Collectables'. I also wrote and published a number of books on ceramics, one of which was Troika Ceramics of Cornwall', 'unfortunately my company went into liquidation in 2007 during the big banks' problems and I then retired at the age of 76 and took up painting full-time. I was always very interested in art and as an antique dealer bought and sold paintings but I always had an urge to paint myself. After 6 years of studying in a part-time capacity at various art classes including Bath University I eventually joined the Bathampton Art Group, where I found a group of people who were just as interest in art as I was.I have entered my work in various public exhibitions around Bath including the unique Bathampton Art Group exhibitions which occur three times a year and are well worth a visit.
